Enabel’s crucial role in Belgium’s Comprehensive Approach
As a guide to a more coherent and effective foreign policy, the comprehensive approach applies to all federal departments that contribute to the achievement of its objectives.
The Belgian development agency is a fundamental partner of the federal state and acts as a hub of Belgian government expertise. Enabel therefore wants to contribute fully to the implementation of the Comprehensive Approach strategy and thus to the coherence and effectiveness of Belgian external action. Enabel puts forward a set of 10 recommendations strengthening its role as an instrument of foreign policy and further developing coordination, complementarity and synergies between the different federal departments.
